1920s Dog Tin Humane Society Distinguished Member, Animal, Small Tin Storage Box

Sorry, this item has sold.

A vintage rare 1920s era small tin with the dog art of Sir Edwin Landseer on the top and sides. The flowers and ribbons are not part of the original artwork by Landseer but were added as additional decoration. The lid features "A Distinguished member of the Humane Society." The sides "Suspense" and the ends "Dignity and Impudence."

Tin measures 4" x 3" x 2" tall.

Lots of wear to the edge of the lid especially and in various other places. Discoloration or rust. Dent in the lid near the front and a slight bend to the back between the hinges.

Please see all photos.
