This is a 3 volume set by Dover Publications 1979 of Muybridge's Complete Human and Animal Locomotion by Eadweard Muybridge. It contains all 781 plates from the 1887 Animal Locomotion. It consolidates the original 11 volumes into these 3.
Volume 1 contains the original volumes 1 & 2: Males (Nude) and 3 & 4: Females (nude).
Volume 2 contains original volumes 5: Males (Pelvis Cloth) 6: Females (semi-nude & transparent drapery) & Children 7: Males & Females (Draped) and Miscellaneous subjects 8: Abnormal Movements, Males and Females (nude & Semi-Nude).
Volume 3 Contains original volumes 9: Horses 10: Domestic Animals 11: Wild Animals & Birds along with the original prospectus and Catalogue of Plates.
Condition: Covers have some wear and edge bends. Page edges when closed have some soiling. Inside pages excellent.
