This is a late 1800s cast iron hinged fabric crimper, also known as a fluter or pleater.
It measures 6" long, 3" on the widest side, and about 5" tall to top of the handle.
It is hinged on the smaller end and also has a nail that shows on the top as well as when it is opened up. It is loose and doesn't seem to have a function.
There is a lot of obvious pitting to the metal, as well as some wear and dings to the handle. Please see all photos.
