This is a very detailed painting on a metal plate of a dog's head, believed to have been painted in the 1880s by Bessie Jane Hainsworth Todd and framed at some point in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. There is a typed note taped to the back explaining these details to a relative who received this painting. It is signed on the lower right.
The gold toned plate measures 11.5" in diameter. The overall wood framed diameter is about 14.5". The back is rounded.
Condition: Both the plate and frame have wear, dings and scratches, so please see all photos.
