This is a painting collage by d'Elaine Johnson titled Old Man Of The Shore, referring to the old twisted tree on this grassy lake shore. It appears to be a watercolor on wood with a shellac on top of it. This was mounted to another thin piece of wood, which was then mounted to another piece of wood and then a wood frame was added. I've tried to show this with the third photo.
The painting itself measures 10" x 6.75" and the overall piece with the frame is 15.25" x 12". It is signed by the artist and dated 9-66 in the lower right. The back has a label identifying the artwork and artist in the upper left and then a larger paper giving information about d'Elaine Johnson, including the fact that she was awarded a purchase award for the Nova Scotia Art Museum's permanent collection.
There is a little damage to the lower left corner of the painting and the frame has some cracks in the wood and a few scuffs. Being wood it is heavy at a little over 4 pounds.
