Vintage Pair Chinese Binding Shoes, Lotus Shoes, Red Floral Oriental Feet Binding Footwear
This is a pair of vintage Chinese foot binding lotus shoes from about the 1930s. They measure only 4" long from heel to toe and only 1 1/8" wide at the widest part of the sole. They are red silk I believe, with decorative floral and leaf embroidered design. The heel threading is in very nice shape. One shoe has two small loops in front of the heel area, the other shoe is missing the loops. Both shoes have paper inside to keep their shape.
There is small hole in the red fabric as well as a spot on the top pink colored area above the heel of the same shoe. These can be seen in the second photo. Otherwise the condition is very good for their age.

These wonderful Chinese lotus shoes of good quality are a beautiful addition to my collection of Chinese costumes and shoes. Good service from the seller, well packed and fast delivery. I hope to do business with him again in the near future!
